Good Morning

I am so sorry for the long lapses between posts; I am the worst blogger!! I wish I could report a fun excuse for not updating the blog. Unfortunately, I haven't been busy running a marathon, having a baby, or finding a cure for cancer. Rather, I have just had a major case of the winter "blahs" lately.

I did some research to find out what is wrong with me, and I diagnosed myself, a la Wikipedia with a case of malaise. Here is the definition "Malaise (pronounced /məˈleɪz/, mal-aze) - feeling of general discomfort or uneasiness, an "out of sorts" feeling."

Yep, that sums it up totally....not depressed, not sad, just out of sorts. However, I am ready to kick this feeling to the curb! March is here, and today is a new day.

Today, I am going to do the things that always work to get me out of a funk:
  • Make a List and Get Things Done. (For some reason, physically crossing things off of a list brings me great joy. I have been known to write things like "eat a banana" on my To-Do list, just to be able to cross it off! Weird, I know.)

  • Tidy Up. (For the record, I don't like to clean. But, I feel better when things aren't a total mess. Right now, my desk at work looks like a bomb went off, which could be part of the problem! hee hee)

  • Work Out. (I need to get moving, even if it is on a treadmill.)

  • Count My Blessings. (In my winter inertia, I forgot the real reason I started this blog. I wanted an online gratitude journal, a reminder of the joy in my life and in the world, and to talk to fun, positive people like you!)

I hope you have a wonderful day!

I think we all get to feeling out of sorts at one time or another during the year!

I'm with Guru, it's that time of year. Seasonal Affective Disorder in it's finest...aren't you getting more snow? That can't help. Longer brighter spring days coming soon!

Welcome back! Missed you and completely understand the blah thing. This crazy snow in DC-area hasn't helped.
