I Heart New York!

I had a wonderful trip to New York to see my mother and sister! The weather was still a little cold for this summer girl, but we had a lot of fun walking around and just hanging out!

On Saturday night, we got tickets to August Osage County. It won the Tony Award in 2008, so my mom really wanted to see it. It was definitely a dark play, but the actors were amazingly good! Next time I am in the city, I think I will see Mary Poppins to lighten up my Broadway experience! Hee hee

On Sunday, we took a long walk through Central Park which was filled with families and dogs. Everyone is ready for spring!

On the way back to my sister’s apartment, I had to stop by the most wonderful cupcake bakery, Crumbs, for some treats for D. He doesn’t mind me leaving him for the weekend if I come home bearing gifts! Normally, he is a cupcake purist; he just loves vanilla cake with white icing (yawn!). But the creations at Crumbs are so amazing that he has to try the different frosting and filling combos. If you are in New York, it is totally worth a trip!

OMG, you're making me totally homesick! I grew up in NY and I miss it sometimes for all the cool stuff that the City has to offer. And now cupcakes, which are my new obsession?? I am dying!!! :)
