I really love Valentine's Day (I mean, the official color of the day is PINK!), but this year, I feel a bit too tired (and pregnant) to celebrate properly.
In my own head, I have made heart-shaped cupcakes and cookies and crafted perfect cards for everyone I love. In reality, I have taken a much more laid-back approach...
I brought some adorable doughnuts for my friends at work (they weren't really expecting cards anyway) and to bring to team meetings (sugar does amazing things for morale).
Then, tonight we are going to do Valentine's Dinner at home, catered by Whole Foods. (Much better than a fancy restaurant when you are feeling tired)
I have managed to pick up a few cards and treats for hubs and my sister. These gifts, of course, are not wrapped or nicely displayed, but I have made peace with this being a "lazy Valentine's day."
However you celebrate, I hope you have a wonderful day!

I hear you on the lazy. Behr is clearly not aware that it is Valentine's day and has made it a very long day. But at least he is a cuddly little 5 week old!
