Inspector Gadget

The house hunting saga continues!! Things have been so in flux that I haven’t wanted to write anything in case I would jinx myself. A little while ago, D and I found a house! It isn’t perfect (but I am learning that no house is), but we like the neighborhood, we like the yard and it is just the right size for us. We decided to make a bid and went back and forth with the owners about the price, and eventually, they accepted!!

I sort of thought that was the end of things, but really it was just one step in the looonnnggg process of buying a home! Last Friday, we had the home inspection, and although it went well, now there are things the owners need to fix, things we need to fix, things that might never get fixed, etc. etc…and again, we are just waiting to hear back about things.

I am doing my best to be patient, but no one ever warned me that there would be so much WAITING in buying a house. I have been on pins and needles for two weeks!! Poor D has just given up sleeping altogether!! We are a pair, let me tell you!!

Although I was a bundle of nerves, there was something fun about the home inspection. I loved watching all the gadgets the home inspector used!! It was incredible! All the fun toys reminded me of the cartoon, Inspector Gadget, only this time, the gadgets worked! hee hee

(And yes, remember Penny, Inspector Gadget's neice? I remember wondering how she kept her pigtails so smooth. My childhood hair was quite frizzy, so I was jealous! Isn't that funny!)
