Baby Shower Picks

I’m sorry for the brief hiatus; it has been a crazy few weeks!! I have so much to share, but it has been hard to form a coherent sentence.

First, though, my dear cousin is pregnant with her first baby, a little girl! Believe it or not, I haven’t been to many baby showers, and I am not a mom, so I was aghast when I looked at her registries and saw that there was nothing left to buy!! Also, we don't know the name of the baby girl yet, so that excluded all the sweet monogrammed gifts out there!

But then I realized that so many of the great blogs I love are written by mommies, and between your suggestions and Amazon.com’s free shipping, I hope I did okay!
First, I had to get the Izzbeen Baby Care Timer in pink! See One Fabulous Mom’s post about this miraculous invention, and you will understand why I had to get it. I love stuff like this, but I always wonder, “Why didn’t someone think of this sooner?!” On a side note, when I tried to explain the necessity of this little gadget to D, I just got a blank look…hee hee

Next, I had to get a few of my all-time favorite books, Goodnight Moon and Guess How Much I Love You. I was so blessed to have parents who read to me all the time as a child, and now I am a total bookworm!

I have read about the benefits of swaddling blankets and this little number, the Kiddopotamus Snuzzler, and it was missing from my cousin’s registry, so I had to get it! Doesn’t that baby look so sweet!?!

Finally, I had to get, Jacques the Peacock, for little baby girl. Apparently, it was developed in by child development experts from Yale University, so who am I to argue??

I can’t wait to get everything and wrap it in lovely pink! Okay, mommies, did I do okay? Also, what am I missing?

Great gifts! She will love them. I'm just like you, I never knew what to get for babies...amazing how fast you learn when one is on the way. :) Have a great weekend.

I think you did very well! Just seeing those books again brings me back to when my son was little and I would read them both to him. sigh ...
