Reluctant Return

I am back from a little autumn get-away in North Carolina! D and I decided to use the holiday and some overtime that we were due to plan a little trip away. It was so nice and relaxing. The weather was perfect, and the fall foliage seemed to be at its peak in North Carolina.

However, I find that I am having a hard time coming down off of “vacation mode.” I feel so sluggish after sleeping in, eating and drinking too much and just lazing around for several days. On top of that, it has been gray and drizzly in the district since we got back, and both D and I have been slammed with work upon arrival. It’s enough to make a girl want to stay on vacation forever!! Hmm…not a bad idea…

I am going to persevere however. As we speak, I am tidying up my desk and finding some “happy songs” on my iPod to listen to. I think I am also going to treat myself to a lovely salmon and spinach salad for lunch at Clyde’s.

Have a wonderful day!
