Last night I arrived into the D.C. train station at about 7:00 pm. When I stepped out, the city was dark and quiet. My cab driver told me it was empty because everyone was home watching the election turn out. We drove by the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument and the Capitol, all lit up at night. It was a beautiful sight.
As I saw the monuments illuminated and reflected in the rainy streets, I was filled with gratitude to be right where I was. It is an honor and a privilege to be a member of this country.
Have a wonderful day!

That would be a great moment...
It was a great night to be driving around DC. I live in the suburbs of DC. My favorite time to see many of the monuments is at night. The Jefferson Memorial is my favorite.
That is an incredible photo! D.C. is an amazing city! Sounds perfect!
