The Drama Heats Up!!

Oh my goodness, what would I do if I didn't have Gossip Girl to see me through the fall!? I am back into the stories and, more importantly, the fashions! I can't wait to see the autumn and winter clothes on the show.

By the way, the scene below (during the season premiere) between Chuck and Blair broke my heart. I've always had a soft spot for Chuck; and I love the chemistry between these two! It looks like things are going to heat up even more next episode.

Retro Inspiration

Although I am loath to mention anything political on this blog, I have to point you to this great observation by Blogdorf Goodman about the presidential candidates wives' recent fashion choices, and how these smart, savvy women appear to be channeling Mad Men! That's right, what do Cindy McCain, Michelle Obama and the AMC Channel all have in common? A great eye for fashion, retro-style!

I have already posted about the amazing fashions on this show, and I think that anyone watching can't help but be inspired. Check out my most recent purchase, a Michael Kors Swing Coat which also came with a matching sheath dress. I couldn't help it; the retro-looking jacquard fabric and ladylike coat were too much to resist!

I seem to be seeing more 1950's-inspired styles everywhere (see the adorable Kate Spade Fall Ad above). The classics have returned, and I could not be happier!

Crazy about Mad Men!

Ok, I know I am really late to the party on this one, but I have discovered the show that everyone is raving about, Mad Men. I have only made it halfway through the first season, but I am already addicted to the drama, the witty social commentary, and, definitely, the fashion!

I have decided that I would like to look like a mix between the lovely, lady-like Betty (above) and the gorgeous, bombshell, Joan (pictured below). I might have to start wearing more red this fall..oh my!

However, does anyone worry about all the smoke the actors must inhale while shooting this show? I know it is for the sake of historical accuracy, but the characters smoke so often, I worry about the actors!

Yet Another Guilty Pleasure

Another season of Run’s House has started, and I am hooked again. I honestly don’t know when this show comes on, but I this weekend I started watching an episode marathon, and I am addicted. I just really love this family!! They seem to have such a strong spiritual core, and every member of the family is involved in a multitude of creative projects. I feel oddly inspired after watching!

Also, their new baby, Miley, is an angel!
