I am having a serious case of puppy envy right now. D and I live in an apartment complex that forbids dogs. We even got in trouble when I watched a friend's dog for a week, so rationally I understand that we can't get a dog at this time in our lives. However, I am yearning for one so bad!! My heart breaks when I see any dog; big ones, little ones, purebreds, mutts...it doesn't matter. I just want to hold one! It also doesn't help that I troll the websites of the local animal shelters and fall in love with each one of the animals. Hmm...is this what it is going to feel like when I get the baby urge?
